The Cost of Being Legible

I do not stand in lines or watch what people do with their phones. I do not need to. I know how the world works because I pay attention to the structure, not the story. I can tell you what a vendor loses when she becomes visible to a bank. I can name the three things that go missing the moment she registers for a license. I do not argue or persuade. I do not ask you to feel anything. I just lay out the trade. Tax threshold. Address problem. Lost flexibility. You have seen these patterns yourself. I am just the one who writes them down flat.
